Does anybody know anything about Nick Name and the Normals?
The official site doesn’t have much, though apparently there was a screening of a concert tour documentary at the 2004 London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival a couple weeks ago, and the film’s scheduled for a June release in New York.
I’m still undecided on the music - I’m not much of a punk fan, period - but “I Fucked Your Boyfriend” is a title worth owning just for the story behind it:
It’s about twisted revenge. I was jilted by a girl and replaced by a new boyfriend. My ego was soothed by fucking her boyfriend. My cock was my weapon. I fucked him like I was fucking her. I even dressed him up in a dress and a wig. I got the ultimate revenge in my mind. Even though I’m gay, I’ve fucked girls as a form of kink and experimentation. This is a song that only a gay guy like me can sing.
I’m very intrigued by this gay punk rocker, especially since he was originally a Mormon boy from Utah. Quite a transformation, huh? He kind of reminds me of a younger, hotter Henry Rollins.
I’m not usually attracted to that type, but I do think Nick Name is damn hot, in a naughty, sexy sort of way.
And really, that’s the best way, isn’t it?
