I set the alarm so that I could get up and out early today. In spite of that, I didn’t leave here until about noon. I made the long-put-off call about the apartment. They went ahead and painted it, and I can move in on Tuesday. It makes me feel good to know that I’ll have a place to go to. I’m not sure how I’ll make the move on Tuesday, but I’m sure it will get done. Ray and I plan to spend tomorrow getting things sorted out and packed. Maybe things will work out better than I thought.

I also got a registered letter from Dan C_____ today - saying I have until Wednesday to get out of the house. Talk about timing. It’s so hard to deal with losing the house, but in a way I can’t wait until it’s over. I have to remind myself that even if I could afford to keep the house, I could never finish fixing it up. It would be too much work to keep things fixed and maintained. A small apartment is the perfect answer for me.

Ray and I had lunch at J.B.’s - we talked a lot about his moving to Salt Lake. He still seems to want to make the move, but there seems so much to do before he can. I don’t even know how we’ll communicate once I move down to Salt Lake. It would seem easier if he had a phone. If he does move, I don’t see how he’ll do it before May 1. I’m sure he’ll be able to do it if he really wants.

While my move is taking time, it seems to be working out well. I’m getting the ideal place for me just in the nick of time.
