This is the final entry in Geoffrey’s journal.

Mon. 18 Feb 1991

Finished packing most things. I guess I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. We only spent a few hours at the house. I wish the truck was there so I could get some of the things out. I can’t help but think of all the things I’m going to miss about the house. All of my hopes and plans - as well as wonderful neighbors and a great ward to be in. I can only hope that Salt Lake will be half as good as this has been.

Uggg. Geoffrey hoped Salt Lake City was going to be a great place since his experiences north of the city were so great. How tragic that fate had only one plan for him when he arrived. Thanks for posting his entries, Nick. Maybe you should convince UAF to make a blog or some sort of online repository for all the diaries and letters they get (though I know that’s a daunting task).
