I have had TiVo for a year now. Not only do I love it, but I actually spend less time watching TV for three reasons. 1) I only watch things I acutally like--no more infomercials because nothing else is on. 2) I don't actually like some of the shows I would watch before I got TiVO. Once I could watch good stuff a lot of other stuff has just fallen off my radar. 3) No commercials. You know how fast you can get through American Idol without wataching commercials, or previews of what is going to happen later in the show, or what happened on the last show, etc. Can really cut your time.

This also leads me to making a suggestion. You should do your other stuff during live TV when you can't fastforward. Save TiVo stuff when you can sit back and relax--and fastforward easily through all the commercials. Isn't that kind of hard to do when you are on the treadmill?

Yeaaah! Another TiVo-er! I can't imagine life without it... just be careful, we had a 2nd one within a year's time. Yep, you definitely end up watching more TV -- now that you can watch more in the same time!

Mucho congrats on the writing success and the awards...very cool... must feel great!

Congratulations, Nick! When Mark and I are in SLC in a couple of weeks, we'll be sure and pick up a copy. And then we'll be able to tell people that we know the famous Utah journalist who knows Duncan Sheik! :-)
