Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and think about how much I’ve wasted. And about everything I didn’t do. And it just makes me feel sick. Because you can’t remedy that; you can only do your best to not let it happen again.

So why do I keep doing it?

Is it how much time you’ve “wasted”, or is it just that you feel like you have less time as you get older. I feel like time passes twice as fast as it used to (which adds to my feelings of uselessness).

Well, it’s not really time that I feel like I’ve wasted.

But yes - time passes about 10x faster now than it seemed to when I was 17!

Nick, you’re only 24. You have a whole lifetime ahead of you to experience. Embrace the joy/insanity of your youth and have no regrets.

Like Timmy Ray said, you’re ONLY 24! And you have got Patrick.

Simplify your life a bit, eh! Separate what you want and what you need. And quit planning so much, eh!

You are in control of your life. If you hate your career, go to graduate school. Or start your own business.

Nick, I don’t know much about you. But from the way you talked about Patrick, you must realize how lucky you are.

I am 25 and still single. There are few things that I wish I would have done, but everybody has those wishes. Don’t ever let them bog you down.

It’s the journey that counts, not the destination, eh! Because the destination (once you’re totally wasted) is six feet under.

Keep your chin up, Fight on!

You are not alone in your feelings at all, and yeah, time does seem to speed up real fast. I’m 28 and I struggle with the things I have not done but need to do. The thing is, while you obsess about those things you are draining away your energy and impairing your ability to take action in the only place you can change: the moment. As true as this is, it is very, very hard to apply on a personal level - so just do your best, and realize that sometimes your best just is not going to cut it, and you’ll fall down. As long as you keep getting up, no matter how hard to hit the ground - you’re doing what you are here to do. You only truly fail when you give up!
