Every day this week I’ve told myself I’d make time to write about David and Chris’ visit (which, FYI, was awesome), but every day I’ve sat down in front of the computer and started, then realized that I was too exhausted and just wanted to go to bed.
Today, for example, I spent 12 hours - nonstop - styling models for a big fashion shoot for a new line of designer faux fur. (Okay, okay, get those gay stereotype jokes in now!) It’s not work I do frequently (I’m mildly red-green color blind for God’s sake - how good at fashion can I possibly be?!), but one of my best friends is a super-stylist to the stars and she calls me to be her assistant when she’s got a big project. It’s a lot more work than you might think, but I still love putting all kinds of funky combinations of clothes on gorgeous models with perfect bodies (all female today, unfortunately) and sitting in on the shoots themselves. I have fun holding fans for wind effects, helping the photographer set up lights, throwing things at the models (don’t get excited - it’s just harmless crap like fake snow) and generally running around the studio doing fabulous and crazy-fun things.
Fun, fun, fun… but completely non-stop. So I’m beat. We’ll catch up tomorrow.

Good, because I’ve been waiting to hear about this trip.
“Throwing things at the models” made me laugh for some reason…
